Here are few tips to get you rocking:

Log in before every session. That way, you can save your favorite lessons to your saved library and view them later.

SEARCH

You can learn any song on CP+B Shred School. No, seriously. Just type the name into the search bar and hit "SEARCH." Say you want to rip to "Welcome to the Jungle." Search for it, and wham-o, you get G 'n' R lessons served up from both YouTube and CP+B employees. You’ll also find tabs for the song by clicking on "VIEW TABS" under the video window. You can search for lessons too, like pentatonic scales, tuning, soloing, etc.

SAVED LIBRARY

You can add videos you like to your library by clicking "SAVE VIDEO" under the viewer. To view them again, click the red "SAVED" tab under the search bar.

TABS

Need more help with a song? Click on the "VIEW TABS" button below the video to see related tablature. If you don’t like that specific tab, try another listed at the bottom of the page. When you find one you like better, click "LINK TAB" to associate that tab with the video.

CHORD CHART

The chord chart can show you how to play any chord like a real virtuoso. Simply select the key and type from the drop-down menu. The numbers on the chart correspond to your four fingers, starting with your pointer finger as 1. An "o" stands for an open string, and an "x" indicates that the string should not be played. The left line represents your low E string, and the right represents your high E.

TUNER

Click the note and match your guitar string to the tone you hear. This takes some practice. Tighten your strings to make them higher, and loosen them to make them lower. "Standard" gives you the six strings of a guitar in standard tuning (E-A-D-G-B-E). Switch the tuner to chromatic if you want to play in an alternate tuning. But be mindful to match your string to a tone in the appropriate octave. It may be higher or lower than the note you hear from the tuner.

UPLOAD

Record your own lesson on your computer to share with others. Once you’ve got it, click the "UPLOAD" button at the top right of the page. Find the video, provide the info about it and hit "SUBMIT." Soon you’ll be adored by millions of fans.
